Uzbekistan's tourism sector has been rapidly developing in recent years. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Tourism Committee, over 8.6 million foreign tourists visited the country in the first nine months of 2025. This figure increased by 112.5 percent compared to the same period last year, setting a new record in the history of national tourism.
In particular, since April 2025, more than one million tourists have been arriving in Uzbekistan every month. This indicates a further strengthening of the country's position on the international tourism map.
According to the Tourism Committee, the flow of foreign tourists has significantly increased across all major markets. For example, in 2025, the number of tourists from the UK increased 2.6 times, from Qatar 6.2 times, from the USA 3 times, from France 2.9 times, from Russia 2.1 times, from Hungary 3.3 times, from Germany 2.5 times, and from Poland 6.2 times.
At the same time, exports of tourism services grew to a record level, generating more than 3.6 billion US dollars in revenue. This figure confirms the growing strategic importance of the tourism sector in the country's economy.
Experts believe that such positive results were influenced by Uzbekistan's active position on the international stage, cooperation with leading global media platforms, road-show events held abroad, participation in international exhibitions, and articles published in foreign publications. Additionally, improvements in infrastructure, transport, and hotel service quality in the country have also made a significant contribution to the increase in the number of tourists.
New routes, cultural festivals, and local events are making Uzbekistan an even more attractive tourist destination. As a result, in 2025, Uzbekistan solidified its position as one of the leading countries in tourism in Central Asia and further strengthened its brand internationally (source: Tourism Committee).
