The first internationally accredited "Halal" certification center has started operating in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The press service of the Uzbekistan Scientific Testing and Quality Control Center announced this. The newly established institution operates within this center and has been accredited by Turkey's reputable Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK) as a body fully compliant with international standards.
This achievement is considered important for the country's industry and export potential. From now on, local manufacturers will have the opportunity to obtain internationally recognized "halal" certification when entering foreign markets, especially the markets of Islamic countries.
This will increase trust in Uzbek products and expand export volumes. Experts emphasize that the "halal" certificate is important not only for food products but also for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and service sectors.
This accreditation allows local enterprises to enhance competitiveness in international markets, improve product quality, and open new export directions. According to data, the global "halal" market size exceeds 2 trillion US dollars, and the "halal" tourism sector accounts for approximately 400 billion dollars.
Therefore, Uzbekistan's active participation in this system creates great opportunities for the national economy. Through the country's first international "Halal" center, manufacturers will be able to export products not only locally but also to countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Officials emphasize that the center will not be limited to certification but will also organize training courses, consultations, and scientific-practical assistance on quality control for entrepreneurs. Thus, the opening of the first center operating under the international "Halal" standard in Uzbekistan will bring the production culture to a new level and further strengthen trust in the "Made in Uzbekistan" brand in the international market.
