The President of Uzbekistan discussed the development of trade union activities and further improvement of labor relations at today's meeting. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As emphasized by the head of state, in conditions of steady economic growth, the living standards of the population must also improve accordingly. The annual increase in the minimum wage is a positive development, but this process is often based solely on calculations by government bodies.
Therefore, the participation of all interested parties is important. Starting next year, a Tripartite Republican Commission on Social and Labor Issues will be established.
This commission will consist of the Trade Unions Federation, the Ministry of Employment, and the Employers' Confederation, actively participating in the process of determining the minimum wage. The head of state stressed that this new system will be an important step in protecting employees' interests.
A person's dignity is measured not only by their salary but also by the social environment surrounding them. Additionally, the President noted the necessity of creating decent living conditions for every citizen.
This includes housing, quality education, medical services, and convenient transport infrastructure. Such measures will not only expand sources of income but also contribute to ensuring a stable and humane environment in society.
Reforming labor relations, strengthening trade unions, and equally protecting the interests of employers and employees are the main foundations of the country's socio-economic stability. Through new initiatives, it is expected that the balance between the state, employers, and workers will be reinforced, and every person's labor will be duly valued.
