New changes introduced to the preferential retirement age

According to the law on state pension provision for citizens, certain categories of citizens are granted the right to retire under preferential conditions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This right is determined based on their profession, working conditions, and length of service. According to the new regulations, employees in certain sectors will have the opportunity to retire 5 or 10 years earlier than the general established retirement age.

In particular, war disabled persons, mothers raising disabled children from childhood, dwarfs, and little people also have the right to receive preferential pensions. Regardless of age, citizens in the following categories can retire earlier.

Firstly, leading specialists in the mining sector, provided they have at least 20 years of work experience. Secondly, miners and construction workers who have worked at least 25 full years in underground and open-pit mining operations.

Thirdly, pilots and members of test flight crews must have at least 25 years of work experience for men and 20 years for women. Additionally, artists in the theater and performance sector with creative experience of 20, 25, or 30 years, as well as certain categories of athletes with 20 years of work experience, are entitled to preferential retirement.

Furthermore, the procedure for making changes to the list of productions, institutions, professions, and positions that grant preferential pensions has been revised. Now, enterprises must undergo certification regarding working conditions, safety levels, and injury risks to make changes or additions to the list.
