Residents have been complaining about the change in the color of hot water in some areas of Tashkent city, specifically that it appears rusty. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The “Veolia Energy Tashkent” company provided information regarding this. According to specialists, this situation is temporary and is related to testing work being carried out in the pipelines before the heating season begins.
During the process of removing blockages inside the pipes, the water may temporarily turn brown. The inspection revealed that in some houses, water was entering through the return pipe, which caused a drop in temperature and the mixing of iron particles into the water.
Currently, the company is working together with managing organizations to clean the pipes and discharge technical water. Additionally, “Veolia Energy Tashkent” has informed consumers that if the water quality has deteriorated due to external reasons, payments will be recalculated.
As specialists emphasized, this is a technical process, and the water quality will return to standard indicators shortly. Source: veolia.uz.
