
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will make an official visit to the United States in November. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During this visit, he will participate in the C5+1 format summit with US President Donald Trump. The summit will be held on November 6 in Washington, D.C.
The event is planned to be attended by the leaders of Central Asian countries — Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. To prepare for this summit, the US Special Representative for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor, and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau visited Tashkent.
After discussing regional cooperation issues, they proceeded to Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed gratitude for Donald Trump's invitation.
At the summit, new initiatives in economic partnership, security, and trade sectors are expected to be discussed. Shavkat Mirziyoyev also held a brief meeting with Donald Trump in September of this year.
