Requirements for graduates of military higher education institutions in Uzbekistan have been strengthened. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the presidential decree, amendments have been made to the "Regulations on the Procedure for Military Service." According to these changes, graduates are now required to fulfill a five-year service obligation.
If this obligation is not fulfilled, they will be required to reimburse the state for the expenses incurred for their education. Under the new procedure, individuals who graduate from military higher education institutions must serve in an officer position for at least five years.
Otherwise, they must return all funds spent by the state during their education. This rule applies not only to those serving in the military but also to graduates sent to work as civil servants in other ministries and agencies.
They are also subject to the five-year service requirement, and if this condition is not met, the funds spent on their education will be reimbursed to the state. A significant amount of funds is spent on training cadets at military higher education institutions.
These funds are not limited to education, food, and clothing. Expenses for complex military equipment, ammunition, and other practical exercises are also part of this educational process.
For this reason, the military education field is considered one of the most expensive higher education fields for the state.
