E-Investigation system to be introduced in criminal case proceedings
A new phase is planned to be introduced in the criminal case proceedings system in Uzbekistan – the E-Investigation information system. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was announced in a decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Through this system, all stages of the criminal case proceedings process will be digitized.

At the same time, control will be established over the accounting and compensation processes of material damages. Additionally, specialists in the field of cyber law will be trained at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies.

It is planned to introduce a full-time education format in this direction. According to the decree, a Digital Technologies Center is planned to be established under the Prosecutor General's Office.

This center will operate based on the Department for the Implementation of Information and Communication Technologies. At the same time, the application of artificial intelligence technologies in investigation processes is also planned.

Earlier, the head of state was informed about the project to digitize the process from receiving appeals on criminal cases to the enforcement of court decisions. These innovations are expected to enhance efficiency in the law enforcement sector.
