
A 300 MW energy storage system is planned to be built in Navoi region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan announced this. The project is being implemented to increase the stability of the energy system and to develop infrastructure for storing green energy.
The construction agreement was signed with Masdar company at the ADIPEC 2025 international forum held in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, during the forum, a contract was signed with AMEA Power company to build another energy facility with a capacity of 200 MW.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the Uzbek delegation held negotiations within the forum with representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Germany, the USA, and the United Kingdom regarding current projects in the renewable energy sector and expanding future cooperation. These efforts serve to ensure the sustainable development of the country's energy sector.
