
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the «C5+1» format summit of Central Asian countries and US leaders. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The meeting took place at the White House in the United States. Leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan also participated.
President Mirziyoyev put forward a number of important initiatives aimed at developing regional cooperation. He proposed establishing a Secretariat for the «C5+1» format, creating a Coordinating Investment Council, and launching a regional investment fund.
He also emphasized the necessity of cooperation between Central Asia and the US in major transport-communication and energy projects. He identified strengthening ties with the South Caucasus and European countries as an important task.
Additionally, the President proposed the initiative to establish a special committee on critical minerals. Mirziyoyev suggested introducing agrotechnological innovations in agriculture by utilizing US experience.
In this regard, the issue of launching a Regional Cooperation Initiative was discussed. At the end of the summit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed holding the next «C5+1» format meeting in the city of Samarkand.
This proposal is aimed at continuing regional dialogue and further deepening cooperation.
