
The practical visit of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United States of America was rich in content and of strategic importance. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the visit, the head of state held talks with US President Donald Trump in Washington. The meeting discussed issues related to advancing bilateral relations to a new level.
Within the framework of the visit, a summit in the "S5+1" format was also organized with the participation of leaders from Central Asian countries and the USA. This summit was aimed at developing regional dialogue, strengthening economic cooperation, and resolving security issues.
During the negotiations, agreements were reached on expanding the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the USA, as well as implementing joint projects in investment and innovation sectors. President Mirziyoyev held talks with members of the US Congress, including Senator Steve Daines, Congressmen Carol Miller, Bill Huizenga, and Sydney Kamlager-Dove.
During the discussions, issues of strengthening legislative ties and supporting new initiatives were considered. Additionally, the head of state met with US Trade Secretary Howard Lutnick, Export-Import Bank Chairman John Yovanovich, International Finance Corporation CEO Ben Black, and General Motors International's global head Shilpan Amin.
At these meetings, important decisions were made to expand cooperation in energy, transport, industry, and information technology sectors, as well as to implement new investment projects. A roundtable with leading US business representatives was also organized within the visit.
This event further strengthened Uzbekistan's position as an open and reliable partner in international cooperation. At the end of the visit, important bilateral and multilateral documents were signed.
Among them were agreements aimed at protecting investments, liberalizing trade relations, and enhancing financial cooperation. Thus, Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Washington brought Uzbekistan-US relations to a new level.
