
An Uzbek student, Sabohat G‘ofurova, won first place in an international competition held in Korea. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The prestigious competition took place at Yonsei University, one of the most renowned educational institutions in the Republic of Korea. Sabohat G‘ofurova, a fourth-year student at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, emerged victorious among more than 1,400 participants from 76 countries.
This achievement is regarded not only as Sabohat’s success but also as one of the international accomplishments of the youth of Uzbekistan. The competition was held as part of events dedicated to the creation of the Korean script — Hangul.
Participants showcased their creativity by writing poems on the theme “Window” and essays on the theme “Memories.” Sabohat’s works left a deep impression on the jury.
Her creative works stood out for reflecting love for language, culture, and human values. For this reason, she took first place among foreign participants and secured third place in the overall ranking.
Yonsei University is one of Asia’s most prestigious higher education institutions, known worldwide as the “Harvard of Asia.” Many notable figures, including founders of Samsung, LG, and Hyundai companies, have studied at this university.
Such successful participation by Uzbek students is considered a practical result of the reforms being implemented in the country’s education system. Sabohat G‘ofurova’s achievement inspires our youth and brings great pride to our nation.
This victory is a vivid example that any goal can be achieved through hard work, knowledge, and discipline. The youth of Uzbekistan are increasingly achieving high results on the international stage, enhancing the reputation of our country.
