
The Republic of Uzbekistan has signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement with Palo Alto Networks, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of cybersecurity based in the United States. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This cooperation aims to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure by ensuring cybersecurity through the implementation of advanced artificial intelligence-based technologies. The agreement was concluded during the visit of the Uzbek government delegation to the United States.
The delegation included Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov and Minister of Investments Laziz Qudratov. During the visit, negotiations were held with Daniel Cross, Vice President for Government Partnerships at Palo Alto Networks.
During the meeting, specific measures aimed at enhancing Uzbekistan’s digital security potential were discussed. Within the framework of the cooperation, it is planned to introduce modern systems for data protection and ensuring digital stability in both the public and private sectors.
In particular, systems operating with artificial intelligence will be capable of detecting and neutralizing cyber threats in real time. The use of encryption technologies is also envisaged.
The agreement is not limited to technology delivery but also includes the launch of comprehensive cybersecurity programs. These programs will involve organizing consultations and establishing experience exchange between American and Uzbek specialists.
At the same time, great attention will be paid to training local personnel in digital security and improving their qualifications. This will contribute to creating a base of highly qualified specialists in Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, issues related to the technical security of local startup projects and their compliance with international standards were also discussed. This agreement is part of Uzbekistan’s broad strategy aimed at attracting leading international IT companies.
Additionally, Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held meetings with the US logistics company Wersirius and the AMALT association to discuss opening operational centers in Uzbekistan and implementing new programs. Source: Zamin.uz
