On November 6, 2025, a meeting took place at the White House in Washington between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the United States, Donald Trump. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The negotiations were held in a warm and sincere atmosphere, discussing a number of issues aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries. At the end of the meeting, President Mirziyoyev presented Donald Trump with two symbolic gifts: a miniature model of the Registan complex in Samarkand and the Uzbek translation of Trump’s book "The Art of the Deal".
Photos released by the White House press service show that these gifts were received with interest by Trump. In particular, the small model of Registan gained great significance as a symbol representing Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage.
Through this gift, President Mirziyoyev demonstrated the cultural closeness and mutual respect between the two countries. Additionally, the book "The Art of the Deal" presented to Trump reflects the US President’s business experience, and its Uzbek edition created a unique form of cultural dialogue.
Mirziyoyev’s gift served to strengthen book diplomacy between the two nations. Notably, although leaders of other Central Asian countries did not present gifts to Trump, Mirziyoyev’s initiative distinguished his visit.
During the negotiations, Mirziyoyev invited Trump to visit Uzbekistan. He also proposed holding the next summit in the S5+1 format in Samarkand in 2026.
If this visit takes place, it could be recorded in history as the first official visit of a US President to Central Asia. This meeting in Washington opened a new chapter in relations between Uzbekistan and the US, demonstrating that our country’s diplomacy has reached a new level.
The symbolic gifts presented by Mirziyoyev once again showcased Uzbekistan’s cultural power and traditions of hospitality to the world. Thus, the meeting at the White House was significant not only politically but also culturally and diplomatically.
