Today, the head of state held an important meeting with healthcare system employees and shared his views on the development of the medical field. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the President, it is no coincidence that this event is being held at Tashkent State Medical University. This institution is where thousands of doctors in our country received their initial education and is the main foundation of medical education.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that significant changes have been made in the medical field in recent years. It was noted that new technological equipment is being introduced, modern clinics are being built, and favorable conditions are being created to improve doctors' qualifications.
However, according to the head of state, the issue of personnel working in these clinics is important. The President specifically emphasized that this will be resolved by “dedicated doctors of New Uzbekistan with modern knowledge.”
The head of state stressed the necessity of fundamentally reforming the medical education system and developing family medicine. Starting from the new academic year, “General Medicine” faculties will be established in medical universities.
These faculties will include pediatrics and therapeutic directions. In addition, special programs in family medicine will be introduced at the residency and master's levels.
According to the President, new benefits are being created for students studying in residency. They will receive free education, practice as family doctors, and receive a salary.
Graduates who successfully complete their education will receive a special diploma and a salary bonus in a narrow specialty. Due to these reforms, the healthcare system in our country will reach a new level.
Family doctors play an important role in monitoring the health of the population in communities and addressing their primary healthcare issues. Medical education will become more practice-oriented, and young specialists will gain direct work experience in local areas.
As a result, the public will have wider access to modern and qualified medical services. (Source: One.uz)
