
The presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia communicated by phone and discussed issues related to further developing the strategic partnership between the two countries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The President's press service reported on this. During the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin reviewed ways to implement previously reached agreements and bring them to a new level.
They also paid special attention to the need to accelerate joint projects in priority sectors of the economy, particularly in the energy sector. The presidents emphasized the importance of maintaining a stable volume of trade, developing business relations between regions, and expanding cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It was noted that the second meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, held in the Moscow region, was organized at a high level and its results were effective. At the same time, the necessity of successfully holding the next meeting of the Uzbekistan–Russia Intergovernmental Commission on December 3 and the business forum planned within its framework was also discussed.
The presidents exchanged views on issues of international and regional importance and discussed joint events planned in the near future. It was reported that the conversation took place in a friendly and constructive spirit.
