
On November 11, 2023, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a telephone conversation with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the conversation, issues related to further developing cooperation between the two countries were discussed. In particular, they exchanged views on increasing trade volume, implementing joint projects in the economy and energy sectors, and strengthening interregional cooperation.
Additionally, the parties positively assessed the outcomes of the meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, which took place on October 22 in the Moscow region. They emphasized that this meeting was an important step in strengthening bilateral relations.
The heads of state also paid special attention to the significance of the intergovernmental commission meeting and business forum scheduled for December 3. They noted that these events would serve to advance bilateral relations to a new level.
