
A delegation consisting of business representatives and heads of charitable projects from the state of Utah is making an official visit to Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This visit was agreed upon at the end of a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the meeting, issues of developing bilateral cooperation were discussed.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with representatives of the US delegation, including David Bednar, an elder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the head of the Stirling Foundation, and the US Ambassador to Uzbekistan. The meeting reviewed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and the state of Utah and to implement new projects.
The parties discussed cooperation in the fields of innovation, medicine, mining industry, water supply, development of women entrepreneurship, and inclusive education. During the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop joint projects in these areas.
