
On November 12, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Binali Yildirim, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, who visited our country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This meeting was organized within the framework of the international forum on multimodal transportation. During the conversation, issues of further strengthening cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States were discussed.
In particular, the increasing role and activities of the Council in coordinating and promoting multilateral initiatives were emphasized. Great attention was paid to the implementation of strategic initiatives proposed by Uzbekistan at the Organization of Turkic States summits held this year in Budapest and Gabala.
These proposals are aimed at developing regional cooperation and strengthening ties among Turkic states. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed developing a "roadmap" to enhance the institutional capacity of the Council of Elders and to implement joint projects aimed at preserving the national traditions, spiritual heritage, and cultural unity of Turkic peoples.
