
According to the data from the National Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2025, the permanent population of Uzbekistan has reached 38,069,116. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On this occasion, a list of districts and cities with the lowest population was announced. Below is information about these regions.
The first place on the list is occupied by the city of G‘ozg‘on, with a population of 9,429. Next is Tomdi district, where 15,199 people reside.
The population of Shirin city amounts to 19,421. Qorovulbozor district ranks fourth in terms of population, with 20,608 residents.
Bo‘zatov district has a recorded population of 21,810. Following in the list are regions such as Yangiobod (30,449 people), Mo‘ynoq (34,065 people), Konimex (36,922 people), Taxtako‘pir (38,871 people), and Uchquduq (39,937 people).
Most of these regions are located in remote areas, where natural conditions and infrastructure development are insufficient, leading to a low population count. Source: National Statistics Committee.
