
The seventh Council meeting of the Central Asian countries' leaders was held in the city of Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within the framework of this event, the capital of Uzbekistan became an important diplomatic center. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, at the Koksaroy residence.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues. The implementation of bilateral and multilateral agreements was discussed during the dialogue.
The leaders expressed the necessity to increase the efficiency of existing cooperation mechanisms and to accelerate work in certain areas. The discussions paid special attention to strengthening trade and economic relations, developing interregional trade, and implementing investment projects.
Proposals were put forward to expand cooperation opportunities in agriculture, industry, energy, transport, and logistics sectors. Additionally, the presidents exchanged views on security, sustainable development, environmental issues, cross-border cooperation, and the rational use of water and energy resources.
Special attention was also given to strengthening people-to-people connections. Maintaining and further developing an atmosphere of trust and good neighborliness in the region was identified as a common goal.
The meetings in Tashkent demonstrated that political dialogue and economic integration among Central Asian countries are reaching a new level. The leaders emphasized their readiness to continue cooperation for the common interests of the region.
