An Uzbek mother and daughter who found themselves in a difficult situation in Turkey were assisted and returned to their Homeland. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul and the Migration Agency’s representative office provided the necessary assistance to our compatriots. It became known that the woman was in Turkey for labor migration purposes but lost the ability to work due to a serious illness.
Subsequently, she appealed to the diplomatic mission. It was revealed that the woman had a broken leg, and surgical operations and prosthesis installation were successfully carried out.
However, due to prolonged treatment and inability to work, the family’s financial situation worsened further. Additional assistance was provided by the consulate.
Moreover, it was determined that the woman’s 12-year-old daughter required special care, and this issue was also given special attention. At the initiative of the Consulate General, with the support of the “Uzbek Culture, Solidarity and Cooperation Society,” the representation of “Uzbekistan Airways” in Turkey, and diaspora activists, the mother and daughter were returned to their homeland.
Currently, their treatment and rehabilitation processes are being continued by the National Agency for Social Protection, the Committee on Family and Women, and local government bodies. This case was covered on the one.uz website.
