The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, launched a new joint border trade zone called “Shavat-Dashoguz.” This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In this area, modern administrative buildings, special points for customs services, phytosanitary, veterinary, and quarantine services have been established. Additionally, trade pavilions and warehouses are also operational.
State services in the area are provided based on the “single window” principle. This creates opportunities for interactive services, banking services, and access to medical assistance.
There is also a hotel and a large parking lot available for guests. The opening of this trade zone serves to strengthen trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan’s Khorezm region and Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz region.
The population of these areas exceeds 3.5 million, and the new zone will provide convenience for them and play an important role in developing economic ties between the two countries. Source: zamin.uz
