At a meeting led by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, issues related to combating unemployment were discussed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the meeting, the performance of the leaders of Denov and Chiroqchi districts was deemed unsatisfactory. Therefore, Ilhom Abrorov, the head of Denov district, Fayzulla Yusupov, the head of Chiroqchi district, as well as their deputies were dismissed from their positions.
It was reported that Ilhom Abrorov led Denov district from January 2023 until November 2025. Fayzulla Yusupov managed Chiroqchi district from August 2023 until November of this year.
The main reason for their dismissal was the failure to achieve the expected results in the fight against poverty. The meeting emphasized that efforts to provide employment in Denov district were poorly organized.
Although the district was allocated 4.5 times more funds than Uzun district, the income of 1,200 families did not increase. A similar situation was observed in Chiroqchi district as well.
In 2025, despite 309 billion soums being allocated as credit to develop entrepreneurship in Chiroqchi, the district leadership did not offer any ready projects to the population. The President cited the experience of Uzun district as an example during the meeting.
In this district, the leadership succeeded in attracting 70 million dollars in foreign investment. This example demonstrates the necessity of an effective approach in combating unemployment.
