
Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree aimed at the stable development of the housing and mortgage market. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Based on this decree, a National Committee will be established. One of the main tasks of the Committee is to develop urbanization processes and improve the efficiency of state management in the housing sector.
In addition, projects of normative-legal documents related to housing construction and the sector must be mandatorily agreed upon with the Committee. These measures include the implementation of various projects in Tashkent city and regional centers with state support.
In particular, annual construction plans will be developed and approved for multi-storey buildings, especially for the "New Uzbekistan" residential areas. Fifty employees will work in the Committee to fulfill these tasks.
The Committee has the right to directly engage domestic and international specialists on contract basis. Responsibility for the organization's activities is assigned to the Chairman of the Committee, while overall supervision and coordination are carried out by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov.
