Measures are being implemented to ensure the employment of 16 thousand young men and women included in the "Youth Register" in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information is provided in a decree adopted by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In addition, within the framework of the "Reading" project, it is planned to expand the scope of reading scientific-popular and fiction books among young people.
The goal is to increase the proportion of young people who read books by 10 percent. From February 2024, social assistance will be provided to young people included in the list of low-income families.
This assistance will be provided on a contractual basis, and young people will be required to fulfill a number of conditions. Recipients must study continuously, perform well academically, and actively participate in the "Five Initiatives Olympiad."
If the specified requirements are not met, the amount of assistance may be reduced by up to 30 percent or temporarily suspended. This period may be one month, one year, or even longer.
Youth who fulfill the contract conditions for one year will have the right to receive social assistance without waiting and on preferential terms. At the same time, one thousand active young people are planned to be awarded cash prizes.
Such initiatives are aimed at encouraging the development of young people and their active participation in society. Source: One.uz.
