The National Ecology Committee demands all industrial enterprises to reduce harmful waste emissions by half. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This requirement must be fulfilled by December 1, 2025. These measures are being implemented to protect the environment and ensure ecological safety.
Enterprises classified as Category I and II must install waste treatment equipment and automatic monitoring stations by July 1, 2026. If these requirements are not met, the compensation amount paid by enterprises for environmental pollution will be increased fivefold.
Furthermore, if the established requirements for waste reduction are not met, the enterprise's operations may be suspended for ten days. In the most serious cases, the National Ecology Committee may initiate the complete closure of the enterprise in accordance with the Law "On Ecological Control."
These measures are aimed at increasing the ecological responsibility of industrial enterprises.
