The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has urged compatriots to resolve visa issues in advance ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held in the United States. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

In some countries, the waiting time to schedule an interview has been reduced to 6-8 weeks. However, it is mentioned that due to the upcoming championship, demand for visas may increase.
It should be remembered that purchasing a ticket for the championship does not guarantee obtaining a US visa or entry into the country. A ticket only allows for quicker scheduling of an interview.
All citizens are required to undergo standard checks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises citizens to purchase tickets only from official sources, avoid illegal job offers, and keep in mind that a tourist visa does not grant the right to work.
Additionally, it is emphasized that complying with US immigration rules will positively affect future opportunities. Adhering to these rules strengthens bilateral cooperation and creates additional opportunities for travel and business.
