A number of measures have been planned in Tashkent city to improve the ecological environment and enhance air quality. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This is stated in the President's decree "On urgent measures to improve the ecological situation in Tashkent city." According to the decree, the Ministry of Water Resources and the joint-stock company "Uzsuvtaminot" must jointly establish at least three artificial lakes and water reservoirs in the eastern, western, northern, and southern parts of the city within three months.
These lakes and reservoirs will serve to reduce the amount of dust in the air, stabilize the microclimate, and maintain ecological balance. Additionally, the decree requires washing trees and shrubs along the main city roads three times a week during the first half of the day in the summer and autumn seasons.
These measures are an important step aimed at improving the city's ecology. Furthermore, the temporary restrictions on using drinking water for watering trees and plants on lands owned by individuals and legal entities will be lifted during the spring and summer seasons.
The previous restrictions, which applied from 23:59 to 05:00, will no longer be enforced. However, existing restrictions on the use of drinking water for other purposes will remain in effect to ensure the rational use of water.
The number of fountains in the city area is planned to be doubled. These activities will be financed from the funds of the National Environmental Problems Elimination Fund.
Such projects are aimed at improving the quality of life in Tashkent city and ensuring ecological sustainability.
