The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has made an important decision to improve the ecological situation in the city of Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to this decision, a special ecological commission will be established in the city. The commission will be responsible for monitoring the ecological condition of the city, taking necessary measures, and implementing restrictions.
This commission will have the authority to temporarily suspend the activities of polluting greenhouses and other facilities. Additionally, strict control will be exercised over the installation of modern filters in industrial enterprises and ensuring the implementation of previously adopted ecological decisions.
Measures to phase out AI-80 grade gasoline will also be under the commission's supervision. The commission has the right to prohibit construction in water protection zones of rivers and canals.
Furthermore, during periods of high dust pollution, restrictions may be imposed on the activities of enterprises and transport movement. For example, the entry of trucks into the city may be temporarily suspended, or transport movement may be divided into even and odd days.
These restrictions will not apply to electric vehicles. The use of dust control equipment in the construction sector has been made mandatory.
The decisions of the commission are binding for all state organizations, institutions, and citizens. These measures aim to reduce ecological problems in the city of Tashkent.
