
During January-October 2025, Uzbekistan imported 252.7 thousand tons of paper and cardboard. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The State Statistics Committee provided this information. According to the report, this figure increased by 49 thousand tons compared to last year.
The total value of the imported products amounts to approximately 330 million US dollars. Paper and cardboard were mainly imported from 66 countries, with the leading suppliers being Russia (112.2 thousand tons) and China (91.9 thousand tons).
Additionally, Germany (10.1 thousand tons) and Belarus (8 thousand tons) also ranked among the top five. Furthermore, a significant amount of paper and cardboard was imported from Finland.
These figures indicate that the country's demand for paper and cardboard products is increasing. The rise in import volume reflects efforts to meet the demand in this sector.
