Citizens who identify environmental violations can now receive financial rewards. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, 15 percent of the fine amount will be given as a reward to the person who exposed the violation based on appeals sent through the “Ekonazorat” system and “@ecogovuzbot”. This system was introduced to encourage citizens to actively participate in environmental issues.
The committee chairman and head of the Special Commission, Aziz Abduhakimov, provided information about this new development. In his speech, he emphasized the active participation of citizens in solving environmental problems and noted that every citizen's camera should become a tool for environmental protection.
“Identify violations and receive your reward. We must work together for clean air and a healthy life,” said Abduhakimov.
The new system is expected to encourage citizens to be responsible towards the environment and to pay attention to environmental problems. Through this, it aims to raise environmental awareness in society and assist in protecting the environment.
