The first scientific platform for ecological classification of forests has been developed in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This project was created by the "Green Project" institute and is aimed at studying forest ecosystems on a digital basis. This development was presented within the framework of the CITES conference.
The platform was developed using artificial intelligence, satellite data, and GIS technologies. It includes a database for creating ecological risk maps, identifying habitats of rare species, and conducting monitoring within the framework of CITES.
The platform also holds significant importance for sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation. Representatives of the Ecology Committee, employees of the "Green Project" institute, and international experts evaluated this classification as a strategic tool for effective forest management and nature protection.
This initiative is expected to take Uzbekistan's efforts to ensure ecological sustainability to a new level. Source: zamin.uz
