Uzbekistan has joined the international Metric Convention. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Ministry of Justice announced this on November 27 of this year. The Metric Convention is a document aimed at ensuring uniform metrological standards among countries worldwide.
Initially, this convention was signed in 1875 in Paris by 17 countries. Among these countries were Argentina, Belgium, Spain, Russia, and the USA.
Joining this convention allows countries to apply mutually agreed and precise measurement standards. This is of significant importance in international trade, science, and technology fields.
Additionally, based on this convention, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures and the International Committee were established. These organizations coordinate metrology and develop new measurement systems.
Uzbekistan's accession to this convention serves to develop the field of metrology in the country and strengthen international cooperation.
