
The state budget of Uzbekistan for 2026 is expected to see a significant increase in both income and expenses. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the main financial indicators for the coming year have been determined. In 2026, the state budget revenues will amount to 368.9 trillion soums.
This equals 18.7 percent of GDP. The forecast for this year is 345.2 trillion soums.
The main sources of income come from taxes. In particular, 88.8 trillion soums are expected from personal income tax, 64.5 trillion soums from profit tax, and 48.9 trillion soums from VAT revenues.
Expenses will amount to 402.4 trillion soums, which is 20.4 percent of GDP. The majority of expenses are allocated to social sectors.
Specifically, 100.3 trillion soums are allocated for education, 48.9 trillion soums for healthcare. The economy will receive 55 trillion soums, and public administration will be allocated 21 trillion soums.
Expenditures for servicing the state debt will amount to 25 trillion soums. This figure has increased compared to last year.
To cover the budget deficit, external debt amounting to 2.5 billion dollars will be attracted. Pension fund expenses will total 86 trillion soums, of which 23 trillion soums will be covered by the state.
Additionally, 28.3 trillion soums will be allocated for subsidies. To cover losses in energy and transport, 17 trillion soums will be allocated; for gas subsidies, 5.9 trillion soums; and for heat supply, 3.8 trillion soums.
Material assistance and pensions for the population will receive 17 trillion soums. State programs will be allocated 50.2 trillion soums.
For water management, 10.4 trillion soums; for road maintenance, 6.7 trillion soums; and for the “Initiative Budget” project, 6 trillion soums are planned. In addition, an extra 6 trillion soums will be spent on increasing salaries, pensions, and benefits.
By region, local budget revenues will amount to 76 trillion soums, and expenses will be 95.6 trillion soums. The deficit of 19.5 trillion soums will be covered by the central budget.
The highest revenue corresponds to Tashkent city (12.6 trillion soums), and the highest expenses also correspond to Tashkent (12.9 trillion soums). The lowest figures were recorded in the Sirdaryo region.
