According to “Uzgidromet” data, temperatures this month are expected to be 1−1.5 degrees higher than usual. It is noted that at the beginning of December, the weather will be warm and relatively dry, with rain possible in some areas.
From December 1 to 3, daytime temperatures are expected to be +12…+15 degrees, while nighttime temperatures will be around –3…+2 degrees. On December 4 and 5, rain is expected with temperatures possibly dropping to +3…+6 degrees.
On December 6 and 7, the weather will warm up again, with daytime temperatures reaching +12…+15 degrees. During December, nighttime temperatures will range from –2 to –7 degrees, and daytime temperatures will be around +10…+15 degrees.
There is a possibility of precipitation, including snow, on some days. According to past observations, December temperatures are usually 4–6 degrees lower than those in the last month of autumn.
For example, December 1984 was the coldest December, with temperatures 7–12 degrees below normal. In contrast, 2021 was recorded as the warmest December, with temperatures 2–4 degrees above normal.
In some regions of the republic, precipitation amounts are expected to increase in December. The Fergana Valley and mountainous areas will experience relatively more precipitation, while northern and desert regions may have less.
Snowfall and its coverage may persist in some areas. The most recent such occurrences were observed in 2002.
Thus, December in Uzbekistan will be characterized by temperature variability and increased precipitation. Source: one.uz
