
On December 1, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a presentation on the work being carried out to introduce artificial intelligence technologies in the fields of healthcare, education, transport, and space. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The head of state emphasized that the implementation of artificial intelligence is an important factor in the development of the country. It is planned to expand the capabilities of medical diagnosis with the help of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.
The new systems will include the use of medical images to detect liver, lung, and prostate cancer, heart attacks, and complex bone fractures. The President noted the necessity of studying international experience with these technologies and increasing their efficiency.
In the field of education, from 2024, artificial intelligence will be taught in educational institutions. Informatics teachers are being specially trained, and attention is also being paid to reducing the workload of teachers.
It is planned to develop an artificial intelligence-based platform that will help teachers in preparing lesson plans and monitoring examination processes. Artificial intelligence projects are also of great importance in the transport sector.
Plans have been put forward to enhance safety by automatically detecting traffic violations on roads and monitoring the technical condition of railway wagons. Regarding space technologies, the President familiarized himself with the “Samarkand-2028” artificial satellite project.
This satellite will enable remote sensing of the Earth, assessment of air quality, and monitoring of agriculture and forests. It is planned to use artificial intelligence modules on the satellite.
At the end of the meeting, the President gave instructions to accelerate the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies and to bring all projects to a new level.
