Foreign students studying in Uzbekistan exceed 33 thousand

By the beginning of November 2025, the number of foreign students who came to Uzbekistan for education reached 33.2 thousand. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The National Statistics Committee announced that this figure increased by 51.5 percent compared to last year. Among foreign students, the largest number come from India – their number exceeds 14.3 thousand.

There are 8.3 thousand students from Turkmenistan and 2.3 thousand students from Tajikistan studying in Uzbekistan. Additionally, students from distant foreign countries are also coming to our country.

For example, 1.6 thousand students from Pakistan, 1.2 thousand from China, and 806 from South Korea are studying in Uzbekistan. Furthermore, 461 students from the Philippines, 429 from the USA, and 175 from Jordan have chosen to study in Uzbekistan.
