The state social insurance system is being introduced in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The press service of the Ministry of Justice announced this. The recently adopted "On State Social Insurance" law will come into force at the beginning of 2024.
According to this law, social insurance can be implemented in a mandatory or voluntary form. Social insurance covers situations such as illness, pregnancy and childbirth, loss of work or income.
If the insured person or their family members face the above situations, they will receive the appropriate payments. These payments include sickness benefits, pregnancy and childbirth benefits, as well as unemployment benefits.
The amount of benefits paid is directly related to the size of insurance premiums and the payment period. These procedures and conditions are defined by legal regulations.
This system aims to provide financial protection to the population and to mitigate the consequences of various social risks. Source of information: Press service of the Ministry of Justice.
