On December 8, an important cargo operation was carried out at Tashkent International Airport. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Uzbekistan Airports, at 01:15 local time, a Boeing 747-400 aircraft of Air Atlanta Icelandic airline brought live cattle from the city of Liège, Belgium. The cargo weighed 93 tons.
The imported livestock belonged to the Simmental and Holstein breeds brought from Germany and Austria, known for their high productivity and quality milk and meat products. The unloading and acceptance processes of the livestock were carried out in full compliance with veterinary requirements.
Measures to encourage the import of pedigree livestock in our country continue. In particular, the subsidy period will be extended until 2030.
Starting from 2026, privileges for the import of one-day-old chicks will be aimed only at purchasing products from local producers. In addition, until the end of 2027, entrepreneurs importing live cattle, sheep, and goats will have the opportunity to defer and refund VAT payments for 180 days.
At the same time, from 2026, the periods for checking veterinary permits will be reduced by half. Additional conveniences are also being introduced for entrepreneurs in the livestock sector.
In particular, the opportunity will be provided to acquire land plots for growing fodder crops through electronic auctions and to make payments in installments over 5 years. Source: one.uz
