In Uzbekistan, a number of important decisions have been adopted to support entrepreneurial activity and further develop the sector. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Starting from July 1, 2026, unjustified inspections of enterprises are planned to be canceled. From now on, the inspection processes of business entities will be carried out step by step and this process will be monitored with the help of video cameras.
These measures are aimed at reducing pressure on entrepreneurs and protecting their rights. In addition, new tax rules will come into force from January 1, 2026.
For example, if imported food products remain unsold for 9 months, and meat, fresh fruits, and vegetables remain unsold for 3 months, and their value exceeds 500 times the established base calculation amount, this situation will be a basis for conducting an inspection. Also, the tax base for real estate and construction materials will now be calculated based on market value.
Another important change concerns foreign companies. Foreign companies providing goods or services to individuals in Uzbekistan will be required to register with the tax authorities.
If this requirement is not fulfilled and the company does not register within 30 days, its activities will be restricted. At the same time, during desk tax audits, tax authorities will be obliged to review all documents submitted by entrepreneurs.
These changes are aimed at improving the business environment and ensuring transparency in the economy. Source: Zamin.uz.
