
On December 11 of this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Paraguayan President Santiago Peña in Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the negotiations, issues of further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Paraguay were discussed. It was emphasized that this meeting would bring the friendly relations between the two countries to a new level.
The parties paid special attention to developing cooperation in the fields of economy, education, culture, and other areas. In particular, opportunities to increase trade volume, strengthen business ties, and implement joint projects in agriculture, food, chemical industry, tourism, and sports were considered.
Exchanges of views were also held on accelerating digitalization processes. Additionally, mutual opinions were shared on pressing issues on the international and regional agenda.
At the end of the negotiations, the parties expressed their readiness to develop political dialogue and deepen economic cooperation. This meeting is expected to open a new chapter of practical partnership between the two countries.
