
On December 11, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan and the national leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during his visit to the city of Ashgabat. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the meeting, issues of strategic partnership, friendship, and good neighborly relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were discussed. The parties paid special attention to expanding cooperation in political, inter-parliamentary, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields.
Additionally, they exchanged views on pressing issues of regional and international importance. This meeting was an important step in strengthening mutual trust and cooperation between the two countries.
On December 12, President Mirziyoyev is scheduled to participate in an international forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality declaration, International Neutrality Day, and the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust." These meetings and events serve to further develop political and economic relations between the two countries.
