A new gas field was discovered in Moynaq
A high-pressure and industrial-scale natural gas flow has been discovered from the 2nd exploration well located in the Moynaq district of Karakalpakstan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The press service of the joint-stock company "Uzbekneftegaz" reported this. It is stated that the drilling of the well was carried out by the "Uzneftgaz Drilling Works" limited liability company, which is part of "Uzbekneftegaz".
Experienced local specialists, using modern foreign technologies, managed to drill this well within 90 days. The total depth of the well is 5,000 meters.
Currently, 2.4 million cubic meters of natural gas are being extracted daily from this well. At the same time, consistent drilling operations are continuing in other promising deep wells in this area.
Experts predict that by the end of the year, high-pressure gas flow may also be obtained from these wells. This discovery will contribute to increasing the country's potential in the energy sector.
