Starting from August 2025, students who win gold medals at international science olympiads are planned to receive a reward of over 1 billion soums. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was made to strengthen the incentive system for science olympiad winners and to increase students' interest in science. This year, the Uzbekistan national team achieved high results at international science olympiads.
In particular, two students won gold medals at the international chemistry olympiad. Additionally, for the first time, a silver medal was earned at the international informatics olympiad.
Such achievements demonstrate the aspirations of our country's youth towards science and knowledge. According to the new incentive system, each student who wins a gold medal will receive a reward of 1 billion 30 million soums.
Furthermore, teachers who contributed to this success will also be awarded 185 million 400 thousand soums. The Ministry of Preschool and School Education's information service has prepared a special segment on this matter.
It also features the opinions of the olympiad winners' parents and teachers. This initiative aims to increase young people's interest in science and inspire them to achieve new accomplishments.
