From 2026 onwards, many people are interested in how gasoline prices will change in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This issue is important not only for car owners but also for every family, as gasoline prices affect daily expenses, product prices, and even taxi service fares. Many are wondering, "Will gasoline become cheaper or more expensive again?"
Unfortunately, hopes for a price decrease are slim, and a steady increase in prices is expected. Firstly, government-imposed restrictions in Uzbekistan's fuel market are gradually being lifted.
Now, gasoline prices are determined based on supply and demand. Under market economy conditions, prices are usually not low.
Secondly, our country imports a large portion of its gasoline. If oil prices rise on the global market, this directly affects gasoline prices in Uzbekistan as well.
This situation is not expected to change in 2026. Thirdly, environmental standards are being introduced.
Transitioning to high-quality standards such as Euro-5 and Euro-6 is an expensive process, which leads to price increases. Producing high-quality gasoline raises costs, which impacts consumers.
It is difficult to give an exact forecast on how much prices will rise. However, based on trends, the prices of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline are expected to increase slowly but steadily.
There may be 2–3 small increases throughout the year. Although a sharp price hike is unlikely, by the end of 2026, gasoline prices may differ significantly from current levels.
This means prices will not rise suddenly, but the financial burden on consumers will definitely increase.
