Within the framework of the "Uzbekistan–2030" strategy aimed at developing tourism in Uzbekistan, clear and targeted plans have been developed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This strategy identifies creating favorable conditions to increase the country's external and internal tourism potential, expanding infrastructure, and actively involving the private sector as the main directions. Within the project, it is planned to establish 20 modern tourism clusters financed by private investments.
These clusters will serve to accelerate regional development, create new jobs, and support the local economy. Additionally, to develop tourism, 4,000 new hotels, guest houses, and hostels of various formats will be built, significantly increasing accommodation opportunities for tourists.
Furthermore, 25 mountain trails are planned to be constructed, which is expected to boost interest in ecotourism and extreme leisure activities. It is also planned to create a comfortable environment for tourists by increasing the number of tourism neighborhoods, villages, and special streets in the regions to 175.
The strategy also sets priorities to increase tourism service exports to 6 billion dollars and to raise the annual export volume through medical and educational tourism to 1.5 billion dollars. In addition, it is planned to attract at least 100,000 tourists annually by organizing theatrical cultural and entertainment performances at cultural heritage sites.
Overall, the measures outlined within the "Uzbekistan–2030" strategy are expected to bring the country's tourism sector to a new level, strengthen its tourism image internationally, and contribute to expanding economic potential.
