Alisher Qodirov, a deputy of the Uzbek parliament and leader of the "National Revival" party, expressed his opinion regarding the attitude towards Uzbek labor migrants in Russia and recent events. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He made a sharp statement especially following the anti-migrant raids in Russia and reports about the death of an Uzbek citizen. According to Qodirov, the conditions for labor migrants in Russia continue to worsen.
He emphasized the urgent need to change this situation and called on our compatriots to act with caution. “People from Central Asia are increasingly viewed in Russia not as an economic resource but as a threat,” said Qodirov.
Additionally, he urged Uzbeks to seriously assess the risks in Russia and added the following: “Use your mind and leave Russia as soon as possible. No income is worth the tears of your parents and children.” Alisher Qodirov’s statement once again reminded Uzbeks living in Russia of the necessity to prioritize their safety and well-being.
