Every year, 200 million trees are planted in Uzbekistan

The "Green Space" nationwide project aimed at improving the ecological environment and creating comfortable living conditions for the population has been developed in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This project is an important component of the "Uzbekistan–2030" strategy. Within the framework of the project, the main goals are to reduce ecological problems in the country, expand green areas in cities and regions, and improve the microclimate.
According to the project, 200 million trees are planned to be planted and maintained annually. This will significantly expand the afforestation process in the country.
It is planned to increase the coverage of urban areas with green spaces to 30 percent. In addition, 1,023 new green parks will be established, which will help reduce ecological risks and improve water supply.
Enterprises will plant 10 million tree seedlings annually, which will help create "green belts" in industrial areas. In Tashkent city, 4,450 hectares of new green spaces are planned to be created.
A distinctive feature of the "Green Space" project is that it includes not only tree planting but also proper care and the creation of irrigation infrastructure. This serves to ensure ecological sustainability.
As a result of the project, Uzbekistan's ecological condition will improve, and a comfortable living environment will be created for the population. Source: Zamin.uz
