Kyrgyzstan increased sugar exports to Uzbekistan by 39 percent

Kyrgyzstan exported 17.6 thousand tons of sugar to the Uzbek market in January–October 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Additionally, revenue from exports has also increased. Last year, this figure amounted to 8.7 million dollars, while this year it reached 12 million dollars.
Sugar exports are not limited to Uzbekistan only, but have also been made to other countries. In particular, 108 tons were sent to Tajikistan and 15 tons to Afghanistan.
According to data provided by the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, by November 2025, the country's food import volume exceeded 3.5 billion dollars. This figure is 18 percent higher compared to last year.
Moreover, in the first ten months of this year, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to 787.3 million dollars. This is a significant increase compared to 674.4 million dollars in the corresponding period of 2024.
